This painting is an homage to Italy with its great art, food and passion.
The lower right foreground has a painting resting on a rock with a double-image of an Italian woman and Leonardo Da Vinci's profile. The grapes in the center foreground represent the essential ingredients for wine making. Pizza is the quintessential food of Italy, the Anjou pear has a 3D image of Italy spilling out from its innards. The apple, sea shell and lake with nude statuettes are sexual laden imagery. The tomato is probably the most essential ingredient in almost all Italian food. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is represented in the distant left background. The title comes from Avellino, Italy home of my paternal ancestors.
